I love ending the year on a high. But it’s important to note we also started with a bang. The first issue of 2018 included the North America Staffing 100 honorees and now, we close the year with the Global Power 150 — Women in Staffing issue, featuring profiles of the Americas 100.

My team and I feel privileged to work on the profiles of the people who make the industry what it is. The men and women comprising our lists help shape a world that determines how work gets done. It’s important to know who the players are while understanding their strategic intent. And like me, those of you who come to SIA’s conferences have the good fortune of meeting many of those who make our lists.

It’s great to catch up in person. Not only is it an opportunity to meet the personalities who are making it happen but spending a few minutes — where possible — to chat on what’s new in the workforce solutions ecosystem is pleasing to say the least. Outside our ecosystem, in other lists, the ranks of female leadership of Fortune 500 companies slid to 24 from 32 in 2017. The media was all over the one-year, 25% decline. But I like to celebrate the small victories, such as Beth Ford, the newly appointed CEO of Land O’Lakes, who also became the first openly gay woman to lead a Fortune 500 company.

We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we did working on it. We are always thinking of what we can do to boost your business. What’s the right mix of content that we can deliver that is both how-to and strategic? Tell us. We want to continue to deliver that. I hope you’ve had a successful year. Stay tuned for what’s coming.
