Best Staffing Firms to Work For leaders can teach us so many things about worker engagement. They have found ways to engage their staff, keeping them happy and motivated, whether they work in the office or from home. Producing this issue, covering these winners, is so rewarding, as company executives share their philosophies that have earned their employees’ respect and trust. It’s no coincidence that workers in these firms enjoy long and productive tenures. Much of the tension around quiet quitting and the Great Resignation — hot topics in 2022 — don’t really happen there. Take the time to read their stories.

Also inspiring is how the staffing industry rallied back from the pandemic. The industry experienced a stand-out year in 2022, far exceeding pre-pandemic revenue and enjoying settling into a new normal with regard to remote and/or hybrid work.

We all have a responsibility to our teams and our companies — but that’s not all. What about corporate social responsibility? ProLink CEO Tony Manufo challenges staffing firms to make corporate social responsibility a lived experience in “View From the Boardroom.” The added bonus: CSR is something employees value highly as well. And be sure to check out “Benefit of Counsel,” where The Planet Group’s general counsel and chief HR officer, Marni Helfand, discusses ways staffing firms can be prepared for the FTC’s planned ban on noncompete agreements.

As I sign off on what is my last issue of Staffing Industry Review, I would like to encourage all of you to continue reading our content. Help us help you, and together we will grow, much like the Best Staffing Firms to Work For winners. You can reach us via social media, email or member services. In the meantime, my team and I congratulate all of the Best Staffing Firms to Work For, sponsored by Sense, and are proud to share the stories of the grand prize winners on page 14.
