Question: I am considering selling my staffing firm. How do I identify potential buyers and the right time to sell?

Answer: While much of what makes it a good time to sell your staffing business depends on the state of your firm itself, we are coming off a year of robust M&A activity in 2017, with 88-publicly announced transactions in North America. This represents a 28% year-over-year increase and the second highest annual deal volume over the past decade.

It’s advisable to seek the help of an M&A broker well-versed in the staffing industry. And many staffing firms report interest in acquiring other firms as well. SIA members have access to such a list. Search for “Book of Lists” on www.staffingindustry.com. Look for the Acquirers tab in the downloadable spreadsheet.
