Gender inequality is a pressing moral and social issue. Further, the world is facing a critical challenge to improve parity between men and women. This challenge also presents an economic opportunity: A McKinsey Global Institute report found that the global economy could see a $12 trillion boost to its GDP by 2025 with the advancement of women’s equality.

Against this backdrop, SIA’s Global Power 150 — Women in Staffing list is our attempt to elevate the contributions made by women in our ecosystem. And while those contributions and their careers have been remarkable, so have the efforts many have made to build their communities, including their DE&I initiatives. Covid-19 has been particularly hard for women, who have left the workforce in droves. We found that many women on the list spent the last year working hard to uplift historically excluded groups by providing them with employment opportunities.

These trailblazers are committed to the advancement of all women in the workforce. From mentorship programs to special outreach efforts, these women are trying to ensure that women do not fall through the cracks. Training, reskilling and upskilling efforts are being undertaken in small and big ways to help varied groups along with labor market guidance. New roles and groups focusing on relationship-building with minorities and other groups, staffing companies and clients are also being created.

In addition, these stars oversee business lines that comprise thousands of employees across varied locations who place the right people in the right jobs. Our honorees have transformed their business units and helped the careers of both their internal teams and contingent workers. Their visions for their companies have helped bridge the gap between internal stakeholders while creating products that bring in revenue.

Congratulations to the 2021 Global Power 150 — Women in Staffing honorees. We are privileged to feature the Americas 100 portion of the list. Sponsored by Bullhorn, the list, including the International 50, is also available online at si100women.staffingindustry.com.
