Eagle-eyed readers will notice some changes when they pick up this issue of Staffing Industry Review. Our pages have a new design and color scheme that echo the clean lines of SIA’s new website and newsletters. We’ve also reintroduced feature stories that will explore important big-picture topics critical to your business. This month, writer Leslie Stevens-Huffman tells us what to expect for staffing M&A dealmaking in 2024. In future issues, we’ll take deep dives into best practices for workforce training, staffing technology and much more. We’ve invited two industry leaders to contribute regularly. Mike Cleland, the founder of staffing firm consultant Charted Path, will author a new column, “Breaking Through,” on how to grow firms of all sizes. In another new column, “The One Thing,” ClearEdge founder and CEO and Leslie Vickrey will examine a single change leaders can make to inspire their teams.

You’ll also notice an exciting change in our masthead. Ursula Williams, formerly chief operating officer, has been promoted into the role of president. She’s taking over day-to-day responsibilities for SIA from Barry Asin, who is moving into the new role of chief analyst. All of these changes are designed to make SIA even more beneficial for our members. We want everything — including our content and our communications with you — to be easier to access, easier to read, easier to share and more valuable for everyone. In short, we’re evolving with you.
