M&A Transactions

Interactive tool tracks industry acquisition activity.

SIA researchers developed an interactive tool that includes data on some 1,575 mergers and acquisitions transactions that occurred in the staffing and workforce solutions industry from January 2014 until June 2020.

For each transaction, the database provides a row of information that includes the date of the acquisition announcement, the names and locations of both the acquirer and target company, notes on the acquisition price, if any, and a link to the corresponding news item in Staffing Industry Analysts’ Daily News, or another source if the transaction was not covered in the Daily News.

Improved Outlook

A revised forecast reflects improved market conditions amid Covid-19.

SIA projects base-case declines of 18% and 25% in global staffing revenue this year and growth of 13% and 8% in 2021 in its base and longer scenarios, respectively.

The base-case 18% decline in global staffing revenue is an improvement from the 24% projection in our prior report released in May, given an upgraded US outlook, and large upgrades to other major markets, such as Japan.

Get a Referral

And save time to hire while improving employee retention.

It takes on average 29 days to hire a referred candidate, compared to 39 days to hire a candidate through a job posting or 55 days to hire a candidate through a career site.

Meanwhile, some research suggests that it is not just the newly referred employee that sticks around longer compared to employees sourced through other means, it is also the employee who referred the new employee.
