Pre-job-offer criminal history queries banned for US government contractors

As a condition of either contract award or receiving payment on a contract, US government contractors may not request job applicants on the contract to disclose their criminal history information prior to the contractor’s extending a conditional offer of employment. This restriction applies to criminal background requests made either verbally or in writing.

Shift to remote work not likely to reverse post-pandemic.

The shift to remote work is a powerful secular trend supporting continued expansion of the talent platform workforce.
